After 3 1/2 months work, I am proud to announce that my commission of the RMS Empress of Ireland is now complete.
This has been an incredibly rewarding project to work on. The entire profile plan was researched and drawn by hand using traditional drafting techniques, following the old-fashioned methods of maritime draftsmen.
Shout out to my friend and colleague, David Saint-Pierre for his assistance and guidance throughout this project.
I will be taking this weekend to rest after completing the Empress, however, work will begin again next week on a new commission: a hand-drawn profile plan, aerial view, and tank top of the C.S. Mackay-Bennett.
Work will also resume on my ongoing RMS Lusitania project next week, with more updates to come as this enormous hand-drawn project continues.
I also have a few commissions from the past year that I have not yet had the opportunity to share publicly, so I will be taking some time to post those projects and bring everyone up to date. There will also be updates coming to the website.
It has been a very busy year at the Full Steam Ahead drawing office, and there is still much more to come.
If you are interested in commissioning a one-of-a-kind, hand-drawn profile plan, deck plan, or blueprint of a historic, please feel free to send me a message for a free, non-obligatory quote. Payment plans are an option.
